Saving Non-Renewable Energy for a Sustainable Future

Our approach is built on three guiding pillars, 6R Strategy, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and the Circular Economy enabling industries to move from traditional waste disposal to responsible resource recovery.

The 6R Strategy

India is the world’s third-largest consumer of lubricants, with demand steadily rising across automotive, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. Millions of litres of used oil are generated annually — presenting both an environmental challenge and a significant resource recovery opportunity.

At Plus Lubricants, our operations are built on the 6R framework to maximize resource efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.

By embedding the 6R approach into every stage of our operations, we help industries transition from a linear “use-and-dispose” model to a regenerative, circular system aligned with India’s sustainability and resource security goals.

Reduce

Optimizing oil usage and minimizing wastage through efficient systems

Reuse

Extending the lifecycle of oil and associated materials wherever possible

Recycle

Converting used oil into reusable base oil through advanced re-refining

Refurbish

Reconditioning barrels and containers for safe reuse

Recover

Extracting maximum value from oil, sludge, and by-products

Repair

Supporting maintenance practices that extend equipment and lubricant life

EPR Enablement

EPR for used oil was notified on 18th September 2023 and became effective from 1st April 2024, making producers and importers responsible for end-of-life lubricant management. The framework applies to producers, importers, collection agents, bulk generators, and recyclers, with implementation through a centralized CPCB EPR portal.

Plus Lubricants enables seamless compliance through end-to-end solutions covering authorized collection, traceability, documentation, and environmentally sound re-refining.

We help businesses meet regulatory requirements, generate EPR credits, and contribute to a transparent, efficient, and circular oil economy.

Circular Economy in Action

A circular economy is built on the principles of durability, reuse, and recyclability where materials are continuously repurposed, remanufactured, or recycled into valuable resources or energy.

At Plus Lubricants, we bring this concept to life through advanced regeneration and re-refining processes that transform used oil into high-quality base oil, reintroducing it into the industrial ecosystem and enabling a closed-loop lubricant lifecycle.

While India has long embraced a culture of reuse and recycling, rapid economic growth, population expansion, climate change, and rising environmental challenges make the adoption of a circular economy more critical than ever.

Our Impact

CO₂ Emissions and Carbon Footprint
Reduction Contributing to Carbon Credit of the Nation.

01 — The Principle

A second life for every drop.

Recycling used oil has a significant positive environmental impact. When used oil is re-refined instead of being disposed of or incinerated, it prevents substantial carbon emissions.

02 — The Math

Measured in every litre.

1 litre of

used oil recycled

=

2.5 kg CO₂

prevented

On average, recycling 1 litre of used oil prevents approximately 2.5 kg of CO₂ emissions. Based on this, Plus Lubricants has recycled millions of litres of used oil, resulting in a significant reduction in carbon emissions.

03 — In Perspective

Cleaner air, on a national scale.

50,000+

passenger vehicles

To put this into perspective, this impact is equivalent to removing over 50,000 passenger vehicles from the road for an entire year.

04 — Our Commitment

Toward a circular tomorrow.

This demonstrates Plus Lubricants’ commitment to combating climate change, conserving natural resources, and supporting India’s transition to a low-carbon, circular economy.
